PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:   He's compact and lithe, not nearly as powerfully muscled as many are, but he's not malnourished either. 'Wiry' would be the best word for him. His physique is whiplike, kept in shape by his years spent roaming the land on his own, and he seems to have done fairly well to keep himself fed. He has a nice color pattern as well, a deep shade of hunter green with dappled spots scattered over him, most dense on his back, shoulders, hips, neck, and tail. The dapples, some being pale green while others are black, grow fewer and further apart as they progress down his sides, disappearing completely well before the pale green shade of his underbelly takes over. His feather crest, beginning atop his head and running back to end just beyond his shoulderblades, is the light green color of his underbelly and some of the dapples. However, each feather is tipped in black. This attractive coloration is marred in many places by heavy scarring, the signs of many tussles, though all are long-since healed by now. The most notable scar streaks in a diagonal slant across his face, taking out one eye completely, and ending on the opposite side of his muzzle, on the jawline. His left eye is fully operational, however, a strikingly bright orange tone. Three thin scars can be seen curving down the tip of his snout, and a few more slash across his throat. His right side, right atop the ribcage, bears what looks like a number of claw-slashmarks. Finally, his tail is missing the last eight inches or so, the stump tip irregular as if the missing part was bitten off. CONNECTIONS:   As of now, he's an unmated loner. He parted ways with his family quite a while ago, and he hasn't seen any of them since. MENTALITY:   It might seem that, having sustained such horrific injuries his scars tell of, Syn might be a nervous 'raptor. Quite to the contrary, he is usually very calm and laid-back, having a very casual air about him though he seems distant at times. He has an incredible temper when roused, but it takes a lot for him to reveal that side of himself. Beyond all that, he is fiercely loyal to those he considers his allies, and would do anything to protect them. HISTORY:   His life as a hatchling all the way to adulthood was uneventful; he led an idyllic life as he grew up, becoming a healthy 'raptor. At two years old, he finally left his family pack, wandering off through other territories in search of a mate. He found one, a female loner named Cyria, and found a territory for himself and her. He and Cyria had a clutch of four eggs, and the hatchlings were only a few months old when a pair of bull acros invaded the territory. Cyria gave her life in defense of the chicks, and Syn nearly did as well, but the chicks were killed despite their parents' efforts. Syn managed to drag himself into a small cave nearby before the acros finished with his mate and chicks, and he remained there until they had gone. He has recuperated and moved on since then, but the events lend him a distant air at times, especially when he's around chicks or a mated pair. He isn't actively seeking a new mate, either, believing he'll never find another like Cyria.
